1 According to the provisions of No. 9, no restrictions on the materials used are listed for parts compartmentalized with fire partition walls with an area of 100m2 or less. However, these restrictions are applicable to the provisions of No. 7 depending on the number of floors and the scale of the building.
2 According to the provisions of No. 10, no restrictions on the materials used are listed for parts compartmentalized with fire partition walls with an area of 100m2 or less. However, restrictions specified in No.4 are applicable to the parts of the building intended for purposes specified in No. 1, 2 and 3.

  • Part of the building subject to interior restrictions corresponds to parts facing the interior of walls and ceilings (or roof if ceiling is not present) in the living space, the main corridor leading from the living space to the ground, stairwell and other kinds of passageway. However, for parts marked with * in No. 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, these restrictions does not apply to those with a height of 1.2 m or less from the floor of the wall of the living space corresponding to the provision.

  • According to the provision of interior restrictions, the strictest provision shall apply to parts of buildings that fall under two or more provisions.
  • These provisions of interior restrictions are not applicable to parts of buildings provided with smoke eliminating equipment compliant to the provisions of Article 126 Clause 3 of Building Standards Act Enforcement Ordinance and automatic fire extinguishing equipment such as sprinklers, water spray type fire extinguishing equipment, foam type fire extinguishing equipment etc. (Building Standards Act Enforcement Ordinance Article 129 Clause 7)
  • Regarding the provisions of No. 9 and 10, the floor area of the fire partition compartment will be doubled for parts of the building equipped with automatic fire extinguishing equipment such as sprinklers, water spray type fire extinguishing equipment, foam type fire extinguishing equipment etc.
